Meghan grew up in a rural part of the Outaouais, Pontiac region of Quebec, where she gained an appreciation for wild things from a young age. Having grown up in forests and around lakes, she knew early how important these spaces are, and how important it is to protect them.

Meghan has been an environmental advocate for over 10 years and has worked previously with the Green Party of Canada and later Nature Canada where she had led a number of campaigns to increase awareness and funding in support of more sustainable environmental policies and to protect Canada’s forests, lakes, coastlines and oceans.

She is now thrilled to be joining Oceana Canada, where she get’s to combine her knowledge and passion for nature to protect even more of Canada’s ocean wildlife.

When not in advocacy mode, Meghan enjoys identifying and foraging plants and mushrooms, being creative with a number of art mediums or nerding out to some video games.
