Coral farming is helping bring back coral reefs

Climate change is causing the oceans to become hotter and more acidic, which in turn causes coral bleaching events. Since the 1950s, 50 per cent of the world’s coral reefs have died due to climate change and human-caused disturbances. But there is hope. Scientists are now “farming corals” to increase resiliency and bring these important animals and habitats back.
