Jillian Conrad

Jillian holds an honours Bachelor of Science in biology/biotechnology from Queen’s University and a Master of Marine Management (MMM) from Dalhousie University.

Her MMM research focused on assessing enabling governance conditions for implementation of a national blue economy strategy, as well as analyzing fisheries subsidies negotiations and related multilateral trade agreements.

During graduate school, Jillian worked as a marine policy intern for the Nova Scotia Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture and as a Blue Economy Consultant for Parks Canada.

Most recently, Jillian completed research work in collaboration with various international NGOs on the state of sustainable global ocean finance.
