Isabelle Jubinville

Isabelle Jubinville (Joo-Bin-Vill), is a Marine Scientist with Oceana Canada, leading campaigns to protect essential marine habitats through research-backed, evidence-based strategies and policy recommendations. Izzy received her BScH in Marine Biology and MSc in Biology from Dalhousie University, where her research centered on geospatial analysis of fisheries bycatch to inform conservation and management of species at risk.

At Oceana Canada, Izzy leads collaborative research expeditions and advocacy campaigns, working with partners to ensure decision makers have the best available data to protect critical areas in Canada’s oceans.

Izzy lives a few steps from Halifax Harbour and enjoys exploring the coasts with her Australian Shepherd.
